Kwiatkowski of Louisiana New 40&8 National Commander

 

INDIANAPOLIS September __, 2010   The national Forty & Eight veterans organization is pleased to announce Henry E. “Hank” Kwiatkowski of Doyline, Louisiana, was elected Chef de Chemin de Fer, or National Commander, of the Forty & Eight at its 91st annual National Convention, on September 11th, in Springfield, Illinois.

 

Kwiatkowski served as a Captain in the United States Army/Airborne.  He worked in the aerospace and manufacturing industry as a manager and executive and later founded his own automotive business from which he is now retired.  He and his wife, Sharon, today reside in Lake Bistineau near Doyline, LA.  They have two children and three grandchildren.

 

A member of The Forty & Eight for 23 years, Kwiatkowski serves as Grande Correspondant (State Adjutant) for Forty & Eight’s Grande du Louisiana.  He held several national positions with the Forty & Eight prior to becoming its national commander.  Kwiatkowski is also an officer in The American Legion, Department of Louisiana, and a member of Mensa.

 

The Forty & Eight, founded in 1920, is a charitable honor society of American wartime veterans.  Its programs include Nurses Training, Child Welfare, Flags for First Graders, Carville Hansen’s Disease Center support, VA Voluntary Service programs, and programs supporting American troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
